
Terms and conditions
1. This promotion is open to anyone aged 18 or over and under 18s provided they are accompanied by an adult.
2. This promotion entitles two people to receive the appropriate discounted room rate at their chosen hotel when they book two consecutive nights accommodation in a twin/double room. For stays longer than two consecutive nights your chosen hotel will charge the full room rate tariff unless otherwise agreed by the hotel in advance.
3. Rates are discounted off the hotel’s full tariff. Rates quoted are per room per night based on either two people sharing a twin or double room or one person booking a single room, and include the appropriate discount. Room rates may vary in price dependent on the day of the week, season and grade of room booked. Hotels may offer other promotional rates outside of Radio Times Short Breaks and readers should check with the hotel at the time of booking.
4. All rooms are offered on a minimum bed and breakfast basis. Some rooms may be excluded from the promotion and/or may only be available at a supplement as indicated. Named exclusion periods, eg. Easter, are for guide purposes only and may also exclude days prior to and after the exclusion period.
5. If hotels accept children under 16, the discounted room rate quoted will still apply and no children’s discounts are available. Hotels may allow children to share a room with two adults under this promotion at no extra charge. Please check with the hotel at the time of booking.
6. If a hotel has indicated they offer facilities for people with disabilities or dogs, readers should confirm with the hotel that it can comply with individual requirements at the time of booking. Some hotels may make an additional charge and enforce their own restrictions for accepting dogs.
7. Readers must call their hotel of choice to book their two-night stay, stating clearly that they wish to take part in the Radio Times Short Breaks promotion. This promotion is offered subject to availability at the hotel’s discretion. Some hotels may have a maximum booking period (e.g. on bookable 30 days in advance) so please check when booking. A hotel may refuse to accept a booking if it is over its capacity. Hotels reserve the right to refuse a booking if it is not in the spirit of these terms and conditions.
8. A deposit and written confirmation may be required by a hotel to secure your booking and in the event of cancellation the hotel will, at its discretion, apply its normal cancellation terms. Readers should check with the hotel at the time of booking. Cancellation insurance is recommended.
9. This promotion will only apply to advance reservations. You must state at the time of booking that you are participating in the Radio Times Short Breaks promotion. Each hotel has limited availability for this offer so early booking is advised where possible.
10. To take advantage of this offer, readers must present a coupon published in the Radio Times or printed from the website www.radiotimes.com/short-breaks One coupon allows up to two people to take advantage of the discounted room rate promotion and stay together in a double/twin room. Single rooms may be made available at the hotel’s discretion and a set of tokens may be required for each room. Please check with the hotel at the time of booking.
11. The coupon must be handed in on arrival at your chosen hotel. The promotion as described above may not be honoured if you do not declare that you hold a Radio Times Short Breaks promotion coupon at the time of booking. There is no restriction on the number of coupons that can be redeemed by readers throughout the duration of the promotion but repeat booking at the same hotel are at the hotel's discretion.
12. Photocopied, counterfeits, other reproductions or defaced coupons will not be accepted by participating hotels. Neither the Promoter, its agents nor the hotels can accept any responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged tokens or forms.
13. Bookings must be made and completed between January 1 and June 30, 2010. Individual hotels may exclude specific dates or holiday periods. Easter, all Bank Holidays and Valentines weekend are excluded from the promotion unless agreed by the hotel.Please see the hotel listings for more information.
14. All charges and incidental costs incurred are the responsibility of the reader.
15. The promoters reserve the right to vary or amend the promotion and the reader agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
16. The promoter is responsible for the first part of the offer – that is, provision of listings amd coupons. All other facilities connected with this offer are contributed by, and are the responsibility of the individual hotels.
17. All details and descriptions have been supplied by the participating hotels and are believed to be correct at the time of going to print. Hotel rates may change but the applicable discount rate shall be applied to the new rates. Facilities and services at the hotels may change and no responsibility shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
18. Neither the Promoter, nor its agents, can accept any responsibility for any discrepancies, inaccuracies or misconceptions given or construed.
19. Any dispute or complaint must, in the first instance, be brought to the attention of the hotel. The Promoter is happy to investigate any unresolved problems. However, it cannot be held responsible for the actions of individual hotels. In the event a participating hotel does not recognize the Radio Times Short Breaks promotion or a complaint arises, please contact 0844 543 9721 (calls are chrged at 5p per minute at all times from a BT landline, call charges from other networks may cary).
20. The promotion will cease to be available if any individual hotel changes ownership or goes into receivership after the publication of the guide unless decided otherwise at the discretion of the new management of that hotel.
